Cornucopia - Chef Anand
Chef Anand took his three-year diploma in Catering from the IHMCTA, Bombay in 1984. He was chosen to do his 2-year "Diploma in Hotel Management" by the Oberoi School of Hotel Management, which he completed in the year 1987. Chef Anand was with the 'Oberoi Towers' and 'The Oberoi', at Mumbai and left them in 1993 as a 'Sous Chef'.
Between 1993 and 1997 he worked as 'Head Chef' at Metropolitan Beach Hotel and Club, Dubai and Senior Sous Chef for the Old World Hospitality Pvt. Ltd at New Delhi.
In 1997 he moved to Pune and started his own restaurant, the iconic "The Jazz Garden". In 2002 he moved to his home town Chennai and started the famous Continental and fusion restaurant 'Cornucopia'.
During the course of his journey, Chef Anand has helped Mr.Rohit Khattar's "The Old World Hospitality" with the market and feasibility study for opening the restaurant "Chor Bizzare" at the Gaylord Indian Restaurant, Albemarle St., London.
He has also trained at My Kinda Town Group of restaurants, London, England (Henry J Beans, The Chicago Rib-shack and the Chicago Pizza Pie Factory).
